On Texas Running Back D'Onta Foreman...
"The thing that always gets your attention is when you see you’ve got a 250-pound running back and you immediately know if you let that guy build up a head of steam you’ve got some issues.

"One of the things you wanna try to do is at least make him work to find the creases. The thing about him that’s so impressive is he’s got great balance and deceptive foot speed. He gets out on the edge and outruns people to the perimeter sometimes. You’ve got a running back that’s not only big and physical, but he’s very athletic. You can see that right away."

Facing a big running back like Foreman...
"It gives you a lot of problems. You’ve got to understand that he’s gonna have some good plays. He’s going to have some good yards, and he’s a good player. He’s going to make us miss sometimes, he’s going to run through some tackles, but we’ve just got to rally to the football. I think a real key is trying to get a lot of people to the football and not counting on one guy to make the tackle each time."

What he has seen from Texas freshman Shane Buechele...
“The quarterback at Texas, Shane (Buechele), is fabulous. I love watching him play. I’m not really excited about going against him because he’s really talented. I think he’s a very accurate quarterback.

"But the thing that impresses me — he’s got the deep throws, he’s got all the accuracy on all the underneath throws, but the thing that impresses me more than anything is his composure. For a young guy he is a very composed quarterback. He moves around well in the pocket, he can hurt you with his feet when needs to run the football, so from my standpoint when I watch him play, I’m just amazed that a young guy can be that mature and make some of the plays that he’s making right now. He’s a great challenge for our defense."

What one-time Baylor pledge Devin Duvernay brings...
“Speed, speed and more speed. We didn’t miss on that guy. We thought he was really, really special and he’s proved that to us. When you watch him run by people it makes your heart skip a little bit ‘cause you know you’ve got to defend that guy. He’s really, really special and he’s fun to watch once he gets going.”
