Baylor senior wide receiver Pooh Stricklin has decided to retire from football, SicEm365 has learned from a source close to the Baylor on Tuesday morning. Stricklin, a redshirt junior who signed with Baylor in 2015 out of Waco (TX) Midway High School, caught nine passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in 2018

Premium: Notes on Baylor’s updated spring roster

Stricklin was notably absent from an updated roster that was recently released, though rumors have floated that Stricklin had intentions of retiring from the game due to numerous recurring injuries.

Stricklin finished his Baylor career with 763 yards receiving and four touchdowns on 54 receptions.

Baylor is set to begin spring practice on March 5 and conclude the 15-practice schedule on Saturday, April 13 with the Green and Gold Game at McLane Stadium.

This is a shame, but I completely understand. I remember him well at MHS with Hicks as QB. Much potential unfulfilled but not due to lack of desire. Sounds like he fought through injuries all he could and then listened to what his body was telling him. Best of luck to you in the future, Pooh!

I thought Pooh was a great player. Always seemed to be highly dependable with the pressure on. Great hands!
Gonna miss you Mr. Richardson.

Is he healthy enough to run track? Do you think he will try to come out to run the quarter or hurdles?
