In Review: Kansas 78 Baylor 70 Podcast & Thoughts

Baylor (19-12; 10-8) falls to Kansas (23-8; 12-6) at Allen Fieldhouse 78-70.  The Bears were without leading scorer Makai Mason.  Jared Butler led the Bears with 31 points.  The Bears play Iowa State Thursday at 11:30am in the Big12 tourney.  

Positives
  • Great competitiveness from the Bears on the road without their floor general (Mason).  Butler showing that the future is now with 31 points on the road.  
  • Mario Kegler and Devonte Bandoo with double figures scoring on the road.  
  • Solid defense outside of putting Dotson and Lawson on the foul line 22 times.  
Needs Improvement
  • 6-31 from 3 point range
  • Almost 2/1 turnovers to assists (13:9).  
  • King had a ROUGH offensive night despite 7 rebounds.  He was 1-10 from the field.  
  • Vital and Gillespie from the foul line (1-6)
