Breaking Down The Greensboro Region

The Baylor Lady Bears are on a current winning streak of 25 games. Before the streak began, the Lady Bears travelled to Columbia, South Carolina and faced Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Kim Mulkey and the Lady Bears came out victorious, 94-69, in front of 10,531 in attendance. 

A deeper look into the game reveals Baylor jumping to a 32-13 lead after the first quarter and essentially maintaining the lead over the next three quarters.

I for one appreciate that you cover women's basketball, even though it does not "profit" this site. For the life of me, I cannot understand the opposition and venom directed toward women's basketball and Mulkey, in particular, in the premium forum.

Baylor has scored 197 points in two games and had an average margin of victory of 48 points in its two games. Nobody has been as dominant. But those numbers are a small part of what has been so impressive about the Lady Bears. Their inside game of Kalani Brown and Lauren Cox is their strength and has been Baylor's staple for the better part of two seasons.

That hasn't been the case in the tournament so far. The Lady Bears' guards have been driving the dominance. Chloe Jackson, Didi Richards and Juicy Landrum have been the best part of Kim Mulkey's bunch. That just makes Baylor that much scarier heading into the regionals.
