Is it good when your safety (Vaughns) is slower than your DE (Roberts)?

I was thinking the same thing. No offense to Vaughans but the truth is he ain't going to the NFL.

Is the 4.66 40 and not running routes going to hurt Hurd's draft stock? I'm not sure if he has the speed for an outside receiver or the quickness for an inside receiver.

Is he a Tebow? A great college player that doesn't fit with the NFL?

No, I think he'll be able to make up for his speed with his height. You never know though, there have been many players in the past that have been many players like him but are busts, or they become stars. A good example is Mike Evans he isn't the fastest, but he is tall which makes him a good receiver.

Unofficially, looking at these real times, when kids are coming out of HS left and right with 4.4s and some even 4.3s most of them are bogus.

KInda like the Jr. High track meet I went to last week, the wind was gusting to 38 mph. They lined the kids up with a gale for a tailwind, and they were off. 100 meters later kids that couldn't break 14 seconds legit were breaking 13 seconds a kid that never before broke 13, broke 12. You have to consider the source at times.

Folks often manipulate track times and 40 times. We are just getting to see the real deal with Pro Day.

Roberts time was very very impressive.
