On Saturday evening the Baylor coaching staff added their 11th commitment to the 2021 recruiting class when Wall (TX) High School offensive lineman Tate Williams (6-4, 260) decided to shut down his recruitment.
The fast-rising prospect has picked up mutiple offers in the last week and was poised to continue picking up offers and receiving attention, but opted to give his verbal pledge to Dave Aranda’s staff less than 24 hours after receiving an offer.
“Had a conversation with my parents and coach and decided it was the right place for me,” Williams told SicEm365. “Lots of genuine people and a good academic environment.”
Williams possesses 11” hands to couple with a 6’9” wingspan and holds enough athletic ability to dunk a basketball, toss the shot put 51’8” and throw the discuss 146’1”.
Williams is Baylor’s second offensive line pledge in the last 10 days for the Bears, joining Georgetown (TX) High School prospet Connor Heffernan (6-4, 270).
