BREAKING: Kim Mulkey and the Lady Bears land Maryam Dauda, No. 1 post in 2021

On Sunday the No. 1 post player in the 2021 class, Maryam Dauda, gave her verbal pledge to Kim Mulkey and the Lady Bears. The 6-foot-4 post from Bentonville, Arkansas chose the Lady Bears over several title contenders as well as her home state Razorbacks. 

As a junior, Dauda averaged 16.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 1.6 assists,and 1.6 steals for her 27-1 Bentonville team.

ESPN rates her number 24 in the class and No. 1 at her position.

Dauda will join on SicEm365 Radio at 3:45 p.m. CT Monday.

This is the big that I really really hoped we would get. She has the skills to play an incredibly athletic 4 if we can find a typically sized center 6'7" that would be even better.

Betts from the state of Colorado, is ranked #1, but Basham, from Arizona, is also 6-7, and is ranked #30. She is described as having a "feathery mid range shooting touch," something Betts doesn't yet seem to have. Both have excellent mobility and are described as rising and improving. Heck let's sign 'em both. That might age Geno a decade.
