Sources: Baylor to hire Chansi Stuckey of Clemson as WR coach

Clemson offensive assistant Chansi Stuckey will be Baylor’s next receivers coach, multiple sources familiar with the situation tell SicEm365. The 37-year old was drafted by the New York Jets in 2007 out of Clemson and played a total of five seasons in the league with the Jets, Browns and Cardinals.

Stuckey began his coaching career at Clemson as a graduate assistant in 2019 and was elevated to the offensive player development department with the Tigers for the 2020 season. 

In his five season NFL career Stuckey, a 5-foot-10, 182-pound receiver, caught 106 passes for 1,062 yards and five touchdowns. The stay in the NFL came after Stuckey’s four-year career at Clemson (2003-2006) where he caught 141 passes for 1,760 yards and seven scores and rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns on 48 carries.

Stuckey was a three-star athlete out of Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia when he signed with Clemson. He held offers from Clemson, Auburn, Florida State and Tennessee among others. 

Stuckey played his senior year at Clemson under the the director of receivers of Dabo Swinney who eventually brought Stuckey on as a grad assistant in 2019.
