On a night where Baylor’s freshmen carried the load, the Bears were let down by veteran forward Norchad Omier.

Baylor started the game slowly yet again falling down 11-4 before launching into a 22-3 run to take control of the game. Fouls were a concern in the second half, but good defense saw the Bears through.

Edgecombe scored a career-high 30 points on 8-for-13 shooting and 11 key free throws. He was helped out primarily by Jalen Celestine who knocked down four triples and finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.

A late game-tying three from Jayden Nunn — who came off of the bench for eight points tonight — was not enough with Brendan Wenzel returning the favor to seal the game for TCU.

Not only was Baylor in the desert, but they were also in a scoring drought during the first half. The Bears shot 26% from the field and were 1-for-9 from long distance finishing the first 20 minutes down 42-19.

The Bears made a point of attacking the rim early on, scoring 22 points in the paint in the first period. That focus, combined with just three first-half turnovers, became a pair of decisive runs to grow a 15-point halftime lead.

The Cyclones fought to hold a lead of eight-to-ten points through the first half before blowing things open to as large as a 25-point lead in the second frame.

Omier, Ojianwuna, Edgecombe and Wright all hit double figures. Wright was the lone double-double with his record-setting 13 dimes.

Jayden Nunn dropped a season-high 23 points to lead the Bears and he tied a career-high in three-point makes shooting 7-for-10 from beyond the arch.

Six Bears scored ten or more points for the second straight game, this time led by Jalen Celestine with 20 points off the bench.

Seven Bears reached double figure scoring on the night with 12 total Bears scoring. Jayden Nunn led the way with 19 points while Norchad Omier posted another double-double with 18 points and 10 boards.

Jayden Nunn and Norchad Omier led the way for the Bears with 16 and 15 point respectively with the Miami transfer grabbing 12 rebounds for a double-double.

The Bears avenged their 1-0 regular season loss to Arizona in this second tightly contested, physical matchup.

Overcoming a halftime deficit of 1-0, Tyler Isgrig, Hallie Augustyn and Ashley Merrill scored three in a row to take what appeared to be a commanding 3-1 lead. However, Baylor collapsed in the last seven minutes of the game allowing the Cougars to rescue the draw.

After two weeks without a win or multiple goals in a single game, the Bears poured in four goals on 16 shots.

Defense dominated the night and the Bears were unfortunate to concede the lone goal.

Baylor Soccer drew with No. 22 TCU on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Betty Lou Mayes Field with a score of 1-1. Hannah Augustyn put the Bears in front with a second-chance header in the 59th minute, but the Horned Frogs equalized in the 73rd to prevent the Bears from earning their second Big 12 win.
