I was under the impression you need to be fully vaccinated to enter the country.

I flew back in Sunday and not a soul wanted to see my vaccination card. I had to upload a negative test to the airline before I could check in on the app, but that was it.

It depends on where and who. Tried to schedule an Alaskan cruise for our family, was tole we had to be double vaccinated, boosted, have negative test 3 days out and take another before getting on the boat. Had to wear masks on the boat, Went to a Kenny Chesney concert with 50k in attendance, nobody wore a mask.

That's my point though. We've kind of embraced the follow your conscience rule in my family. The problem now becomes some people can't go on certain trips because of their own decisions. No problem with that, but when it seems we've been misled (the government website says you cannot get back into this country unless you are fully vaccinated), say we take them next time--are they really now stuck on the other side of the border because we got in cue 7 and this TSA agent is a rule follower and I just happened to interact with one this time who thinks rules are flexible?

My passport card came out of my pocket frequently. My vax card is exactly where I put it the morning I left the country. Untouched leaving and re-entering.

It's ridiculous, but I'm ok with border patrol relaxing on this particular rule. The rule still exists, but until the next big spike, many are just not checking.

Edit: actually apparently the rule has been lifted. Not sure who to believe. Too lazy to look it up myself.

Everyone just needs to stay home and order pizza and Amazon until Covid no longer exists. That and get so many boosters that your deltoids are full of divots. Your shoulders need to look like the surface of a golf ball. The number of divots in your arm will correspond directly to how much virtue you possess.

I think Russia entering Ukraine ended the virus.

US citizens are no longer required to show a negative covid test or proof of vaccination upon return to the states. Non-US citizens- I believe- have to show proof of vax or a negative test.

I traveled abroad last year and only had to show a negative covid test administered 24 hours before flying back to the states. I used a 3rd party for the test and it was poorly executed. Def done to check a box.

I should clarify that the above is government policy. Individual companies, like the cruise lines, require vax card.

Flew in two weeks ago. Had to fill out a small card for tracing. No test no docs needed no masks required on plane. The Cancun airport required masks, Miami and Raleigh did not.
