I can tell you that I was 372 lbs at my heaviest back in September. I am now at 295. Out of the total loss, according to body scans I only lost 2 lbs of muscle mass.

Thanks Tirzepatide.

Insurance won't cover it anymore unless you're diabetic or grandfathered in with a previous prescription. Glad I got the prescription when I did. However, that doesn't seem to help as there now seems to be a shortage of the stuff. It took me 3 weeks to get my last refill.

For those curious, I did a round of the 2.5mg, 2 rounds of the 5mg, and I am on my second round of the 10mg. 12.5 and 15mg are also available. After I finish this 10mg round, the doc is going to place me on a maintenance dose.

Thanks for this information and congrats on the weight loss. I know it is hard to lose weight. Not to mention the life saving possibilities.

Thanks.
$25/month is worth it barring any long term side effects.

Good info. From a diabetic this could be a game changer.

I was on merformin for years. Two years ago i got off and went to 90% vegetarian and brown beans . No rice. Very little bread or crackers. Lots of quinoa with veggies. Eggs. I also walk a few miles every day.

I lost around 50 lbs and 4 inches on my waist. I sleep better and feel better. My blood sugar is down ut i am still working to lower it.
I have found theres only two ways to go:
Living fast or dying slow.
I dont want to live forever.
But I will live while I'm here.

Eight years ago I dropped 70 pounds in 6 months taking AndroGel. It was prescribed after I had testicle pain (no women read this board, right?) and I had no idea it had an effect on weight. So far I've only gained back 40.

Game changer. Wonder since insurance won't cover you if not diabetic if Mark Cuban's new prescription business would have it.

I think combining this with some structured fitness routines could be a strong boost for overall health. If you're looking to track progress and streamline your fitness goals, I've found that platforms like exercise.com are great for keeping everything organized and maximizing results. Adding a solid workout routine can complement the effects of medication and help maintain muscle mass, especially when dealing with weight fluctuations.

Before starting any medication for weight loss or blood glucose control https://okdermo.com/product/rybelsus-semaglutide-tablets-wegovy-ozempic-rybelsus-generic/ , be sure to consult your doctor. He or she will help you choose the best option based on your individual needs and health status. Medications are most effective when combined with lifestyle changes such as a healthy diet and regular exercise. Be aware of possible side effects and watch for any adverse reactions to medications.

Keto is now the gold standard food model for diabetics in Austrailia.

The key with weightloss and metabolic syndromes like diabetes is low insulin levels and low glucose levels.

I have lost almost 60 pounds in 2024.

I have 3 other family members that are doing similar things and have lost 30-60 pounds each.

No medicine. I just stopped eating things that would impact my insulin and glucose levels.

Eat real food items low on the glycemic index and low on the insulin index.

Dont eat chips, eat pork rinds.

They make an egg white tortilla instead of flour ones.

Stevia and monk fuit and allulose when necessary for sweet cravings.

Slight food choice modifications get you a similar experience but without the insulin and glucose impact.

The body will reregulate it self when you stop eating foods that confuse the signals in the stomach and gut. The fake food industry has added chemicals to make food really enjoyable to eat and prevent the body from telling you that you are full.

I went from eating 5-6 times a day to 2 times a day naturally.

Snacking is an emotional response, not a nutritional one.

Once you understand that premise and you stop confusing your body with eating chemically filled fake food then you can move forward, restoring your natural health.

Eat fatty meat, with butter, with cheese, sour cream, avocado, olive oil. Eat grilled vegetables with butter or olive oil and seasoning. Eat salads with meat, eggs, cheese, and non-sugary salad dressings.

Avoid breads, pastas, potatoes, rice, any processed food in a bag or box. Canned food should have three or four ingredients at most.

Take a couple apple cider vinegar tablets 3 to 5 times a day to help build up stomach acid to properly digest your food. Most Americans who eat mushy processed food have weak stomach acid.

What a great post. What about alcohol? I've decided at 61 life's too short to give up my 2/3 bottle of wine a night. You?

the liver is an absolute workhorse. It does so much. When healing, the less things the liver is doing the better so less alcohol short term will help.

Life should absolutely be enjoyed and humans have enjoyed wine for thousands of years. Its all the other things that compound the problem.
