We lost Peyton Smith, Ba 86 Law 89, on weds evening.
Amazing guy, one of the few people that I went to school with every single year ....long story with bussing and other goofy things.
Peyton was the first guy out of the room when our 8th grade teacher was murdered:

Hyper successful Lawyer with McGuire Woods in Austin.
His Father, Dr. Ralph Smith, Baptized a great many of us in the 1970's and 80's.
His amazing wife, Beth (BU Grad), is a wonderful person, mother and friend to many of us.
Everything was fine Sat night when a good family friend was hosting the wedding (tons of Baylor alums were there.)
About 4 hours following the unrelated Arboretum shooting Peyton decided that his time was up and took his own life.
Cant describe shock and angst this has caused. Please pray for Beth and their 2 kids and his Diane (BU alum).
