It was a small, but very self-important group of folk at Papasitas today. Scott "Salsa chip" S, who everyone knows and loves, Tommy Williams, the former BU football star who went on to become one of the richest men in the world, he knows Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Dave Aranda and a host of other big-time dudes, and me, who hasn't done a whole lot of remarkable stuff in my lifetime. Tommy, of course, picked up the check. He tends to do that

Wait....weren't you in TV shows and movies? You have Tommie and I scoreboarded. Now, Tommie has been on TV for football games. Me, well, I don't think I've been on TV ever.

A few things.

1. I didn't know I was rich
2. The company was fantastic
3. You left off the part where you talked me into letting you "pull my finger" and I shat my pants.

bdSorry, I can't go around the state and do these luncheons anymoreboring health stuff. But I can do the Dallas area for sure. I can't find the number of how many we have done but it's close to 80 lunches since the 90s.

Would love to do another one, looking at Papasito's on Lombardy Lane, I-35E and Loop 12, kinda near the old Texas Stadium. We had a good turnout that the last time we went there. Really easy to get to on the freeways.

I'm looking at Sept 26th. We have a game in Stillwater the next day, Sept 27th, so not sure how many folks will be making the trip. If you are coming from Waco, you can stop and have lunch with us before heading north

Friday, Sept 26th, 1130am to avoid the crowds? We went to this place about 10-15 years ago.

This is the main site; updates are posted here.

I'll post it in a few other places and send out an email to the folks on the mailing list. Everyone is invited, even you stinkers!!

Bring your gal if you like

Please post if there is some event going on that day that I am not aware of!

If you want me to add you to our DFW email list, PM me your email and your name. I always send these out BCC so it will not be broadcast.

If you want to do one in your area and need some pointers, let me know!

Would love to make one of your gatherings, but living in deep South Texas makes that difficult. After your post tonight where you said to another post regarding one of my posts, "He's a putz. Don't engage him" tells me your little get together will be nothing but a Donald Trump pep rally. A Donald Trump echo chamber.

Charlie Kirk's message was to listen to both sides and find common ground. Sadly, many in the Trump camp are unwilling to tolerate any opinion that deviates from every single one of Trump's wants and needs. This way of thinking is dangerous and no better than the crazy ideology of the Extremist Left.

Hope you guys have fun. Always be objective. Think about what is best for all Americans. We have challenging times ahead.

In our 80ish luncheons over the years, I can recall once talking politics. However we've been known to make fun of the putz's and those who preach on the board.

I have no problem being called silly names and being made fun of. As long as I am allowed to speak my opinion.

Went to a Baylor lunch gathering years ago at Papa Dante's Italian Restaurant in Converse, TX. There was probably only 7 or 8 of us. Poster Nguyen One Soon stood out. He has a great and inspiring story. I was thankful to meet him. I think he is still around. He doesn't post much. Unlike me, who probably posts too much!

I'm still around. Been on vacation and just saw this.
