Dang good list. I've said for years that Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time. Great chemistry between the actors (and in the show1) and fantastic writing

The Twilight Zone from when I was a little kid is on there in 11th place. We didnt have a TV so I would sneak over to the Parkinson's house to watch it

Did not see Six Feet Under. It was awesome. The best final ending I have ever seen.

Strong recency bias. Also strong bias toward shows with very limited runs. Most of these were shows that had a limited number of seasons, usually with 10-12 episodes per season. It's much easier to keep the show tight in that setting.

And, in terms of network type shows, Friends above shows like MASH, Andy Griffith, WKRP, Hill Street Blues, etc. is just absurd.

The Bear really sucked after S1. I dont know if they changed writers or what. How it is getting all these awards is bizarre. It should not be on this list

I thought The Americans was fun but should not be on anyones Top 50s list.

I think of these lists as "was I waiting spellbound until the next episode?" A couple of examples, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, yes

Add, I didnt notice the first column. It's the composite ranking of other rankings. Thats how they made the list. Looks like it was primarily voted by Millenials, who probably never got to watch MASH or WRKP

With that said, now that I see that, not sure how 1959's the Twilight Zone made it

I think All In The Family was voted the most influential show of the 20th century. I may be slightly off, but it was held in incredibly high regard. I barely remember it, but it has to be in the top 50.

i like Justified but i wouldnt say it is top 50 of all time.

Good shows (mostly) no doubt, but not even close to "all time". Author never even took a look at TV history.

Actually, all he did was take the averages of a bunch of other TV ratings, it looks like. That one to the far right is bizarre!

Seinfeld, Jeffersons, cosby show, brady bunch.....lots seem left off. Maybe excluding comedy?

Thought Seinfeld was around 30

I'd drop Stranger Things completely and replace it with China Beach.

ST was entertaining for me the first year, but subsequent years not so much. China Beach had solid greatness, with both acting and writing being top tier all four seasons (88-91).

But I'm old, what do I know?
