Not bad. I have a buck tag left for rifle and 4 more buck or doe for now or black powder. Excited about black powder. .50 caliber woo hoo!

Now for the weird. Doe I shot this morning was full of milk. Never seen this before. They usually have their fawns in May/June. Com her nipples looked like she had been nursing

Weird

Did you see the article on the 14 year-old girl in Boone County that shot her first? Thought it was a buck but it was an elk. They called Missouri Conservation who took it for cronic wasting testing. They were shocked to find an elk in Missouri.

Pretty good herd now in southeast and central. Considering a lottery for tags in a couple of years

I knew a guy named David who used to use one. He got a bear and a lion with it. Then one terrible day, after his hunting buddy Goliath kept taunting him, he killed him with it. He spent a large portion of the rest of his life on the run.

Prime Cuts on 1 deer are vacuum sealed and in the freezer. Waiting on new meat grinder/sausage stuffer. Gonna finish off the offal for boudain. Grind up the rest tomorrow and butcher the second deer. Been aging that one

This time of year is like Christmas for me

Don't eat that deer, too much wasting disease spreading among the deer population.

Not a problem in my area yet. Bad in Illinois and Indiana I don't allow any estrus or urine products on my land and neither do my neighbors. I'm the only one that hunts these lands though. That is a huge contributor to the problem. Wish that industry would g away.

Passed on a 8 bow hunting this morning. I have over 60 lbs of venison in the freezer, so waiting on a monster I have on camera.

Boudain processing starts tomorrow. Brats after that.

Co-workers husband lined up for a shot at a buck. Bullet went thru the buck into the doe next to it and another doe after that. Killed two and hit the last in the spine. This was on the last day of rifle season in MO. He tagged two and his nephew the third.

I've never done that, but I have been hunting with someone who has.

Very interesting article in the most recent edition of Texas Trophy Hunter. James Kroll, a.k.a. the Deer Doctor, and the head Whitetail expert from Texas A&M have both taken the position that CWD is a syndrome and not a communicable disease. That would be great news.
