I apologize for being so curious as to the details. I suppose it's the history minor in me.

Let's just say they inspired Kevin to make the movie.

There were members of our pledge class (4 guys in one car) that made a trip across the border to buy "gifts" for each member to be presented during the annual dance we held at Connally Club House (by the golf course next to the then closed Air Force Base, now TSTC). I'm sure they had hopes of coming back with wild stories of their own, but I think other than driving all that way in a weekend, I never heard any such tales.

For some reason, I seem to remember they made it back for classes the following Monday.

If they didn't get arrested on an out-of-town pledge assignment, then they weren't doing it right
