It isn't retroactive so they could stop posting today and not have to disclose.

I assume the need to require registration is so fake accounts are not trying to prop up various investments - kinda dumb to be getting financial tips from social media real or fake

Is that a different law for 2018? I've always had to disclose all social media accounts and outside business interests. And have Erado document all the activity.

How would that even enforceable? Who would know?

This seems wrong. Common Sense would never have been published without anonymity for Thomas Paine. The Federalist Papers would never have happened without 'Publius'. Watergate wouldn't have occurred without 'Deep Throat'.

The 'right' for the government to know everything individuals do, regardless of the pretext (like unnecessary licensing requirements), is wrong.
