For spring break we are taking the kids to Florida. Driving. 2 days at Disney, 2 days at Santibel and 2 days in Miami. I'm hoping we can get to at least Key Largo as I've never been to the keys.
lordy, you must love your car.
No but with 6 going, air fare/rental car is just so much more than driving.

See the golf and hiking. We're also in our late 20s so it's a good price point for us. You can play good golf in the mountains, and maintain some fiscal responsibility.
It's a drive from Santa Fe but make sure you play Paa Ko Ridge. It's worth the trip and is a hidden gem in NM.

Cochiti is a bit west of Santa Fe and a fun track as well. Just make sure you don't speed through the reservation.
I've played both of them several times and they are great fun.

Paa Ko might be my favorite course I have ever played.

Have you played Black Mesa recently? I played it about five years ago and it was fun, but reviews have me worried.
I haven't but was told it's in horrible shape.

Just booked flights to Cancun and a condo on Half Moon Bay in Akumal, Mexico. We usually rent a car and make the 2 hour drive south to Akumal. Stop at Wal-Mart in Playa and stock up on food for 9 days.

We will hit little known Mayan ruins and Cenotes in the jungle in the mornings before anyone else shows up. And then, hang out on white sandy (nearly empty) beaches in the afternoons just off our condo patio. This year, I'm working a deal with some waiters at a restaurant on the beach to bring a couple of margaritas every hour on the hour for my wife and I. Probably have them fill up our Yetis.....

We'll rent a golf cart for the half mile trip into old Akumal to find some great restaurants for a few nights. There are three restaurants on the beach in Half Moon Bay, all are pretty great and your dinero goes far. Margaritas and teen drinks, bacon wrapped shrimp, and seafood for four comes out to about $45.

edits are cause I can't adequately proofread the first...or second times...

I'm paying for my daughter's wedding.

After that, I thought I'd do the trails in Cameron Park and maybe kayak the Bosque and Brazos around Waco.

Anybody been to Greece recently? I'm looking to take the family over there in the next couple of years and I'd like to discuss with someone that has been.
We took a cruise through Athens and several islands in Greece (Santorini, Korfu, Katakolon) two years ago. I'm not usually a cruise person, but this was decidedly the most convenient way to get around to the smaller islands, which is where you want to spend your time. Athens is a bit scummy.

Also, it left from Venice so we got there 2 days early to spend some time there.
Nice. What did you think of Santorini and Katakolon?

Yes, I'm not really that interested in Athens. I'd like to experience a coastal town with beautiful water and views vs the city. I wouldn't mind seeing Mt Olympus though.

Katakolon is really just for Olympia and It's museum.
Santorini on the other hand, not many places on earth can't beat a seafood dinner on the balcony of one of the whitewashed buildings overlooking the Aegean.

Back from Fredericksburg weekend

I was a little under the weather, but still a great getaway. I was impressed with the cocktail game in town and had fun at a few nearby tasting rooms/wineries

I'm heading to the state basketball tournament this weekend. As a coach, this is a phenomenal vacation.

gotcha.

we just went to Austin, played golf and drank like we were back in college at some crappy beer places.

Just spent a golf weekend in Meridian and Hico, trying a couple of nine hole courses.

In May, going to the Big 12 Baseball Tournament, as I have for the past 15 years. But this year on my way to OKC, I am planning a slight detour through Morgantown.

I'm thinking about going fishing or staying at home. That would be awesome.
