I know this has been discussed before but we are moving and thinking of making the switch from direct tv and saving over 100/ month.

I mostly watch sports (Baylor, rangers, stars, cowboys, MAV's if I could but blacked out in San Antonio) and wife watches hallmark, greys anatomy, hgtv, typical girl channels. Other than that it's mostly Netflix and amazon for us.

Looks like vue has dvr capabilities. Is this pretty similar to direct tv in terms of storage, etc? Can you watch on phone if away from the house like I can with direct tv? Any recommendations other than PlayStation vue?

Having a PSV account gives you access to apps FoxSports Go & Watch ESPN

You can watch remotely on those but not directly on PSVue
