Every March our "neighbors" (24 miles down the road) hold their annual sale of Black Angus bulls. It's a real west Texas event that gives a visitor a glimpse of a vanishing way of life out here west of the Pecos.

This is one reason this here site pales in comparison to baylorfans.com. A second-class website, for sure.

I like what this site is trying to become and I've met the guys running it. They are good folks and have the best of intentions.
The inability to post photos is a bit bothersome (and irritating), but the IMUGR gives me a workaround.
Mainly I wanted to start posting my "ranch reports" like I used to on BF.com.
We have a unique way of life out here west of the Pecos, and I always enjoy sharing some of it with folks to give them a window into the last frontier of Texas.
(And I'll continue to post pics of the p*gs for the javelina fans)

Dang windy out here today. It'll knock your hat off.

Not really. I don't blame a site owner for not wanting to take and store uploads. Most of it depends on how you are getting the picture, gif, or video. If you are copying it from another website, then it is simpler to post it here. You copy the host link and just paste it even using the quick post. You don't have to go advance, hit the photo button to get the code for posting a photo, and then paste it in the middle of the quote part of the code.

Isn't this more of the old dogs don't want to learn new tricks. If you posted photos and videos on Baylorfans, then you had to learn new tricks. There were of people who posted on Baylorfans for years and had fails when they tried to post photos and videos.

My biggest problem in posting photos to any message board is I access the sites on my phone via Google and Chrome. They want me to view and use the google search link. I switched to Mozilla and can go straight to the host site with the "Full-size Image" button.

I love your ranch reports. I really enjoyed your photos while building your adobe home.

It adds an extra step to not be able to download the photos. If you can host them on IMUGR, then you can paste the link.

The adobe house is done and inhabited.
Need to post an update thread on IMUGR and copy here.
We are most proud of it.
(Just waiting to be "discovered" by reality TV so we can build another one......the Chip and Joanna of Pecos County.)

Life out here is totally different than the rest of Texas. I believe we are living on Texas' last frontier (in more ways than one.)
I had started sending pics via e-mail to our Dallas friends to demonstrate our life out west of the Pecos, but it got to be so cumbersome that I started using IMUGR and sending the link.
Ranching and oil are still the mainstays of our economy in Pecos County.
And oil has just freaking exploded.
I need to send an IMUGR essay on what it is like.
It is really off the charts.
