Yesterday was the grand opening of Bold Republic, and my stepson, Patrick Hodges, is the owner and brewmaster. It was fantastic, with great food and great beer! Lines moved quickly, and it was a very happy crowd!. It is at 201 N. Penelope in Belton, about 3/4 block north of Miller's Barbecue. Today it is open from 12 to 6 pm. It can't miss, because it is the only one in town, it gives excellent product, and there is a Baptist University nearby! I was the dishwasher on opening day.....Tom Turlington

I guess that's the old Miller's location or the building next door. I think a wine place was in the old location.

Too bad I'm not a beer drinker. Doesn't do me much good.
