I have never been a patient man. Even before today's everything is at your finger tips, instant gratification lifestyle--I had a tensity to want things now.

But I'm going through something that requires patience. And I ain't got it. Even worse--the tips from professionals and Bible readings just aren't working.

So--what's your best patience tip?

Xanax.

Occupy the mind with something you enjoy,..

Idle time will make it worse

I can compartmentalize on the big stuff and put it out of my mind. Relaxation exercises or meditating might help you with that.

I have big trouble slowing down in meetings and business conversations. I understand what is being said and am ready to rush slow talkers or people who like to add drama to the business part of their comment. I can ice-break with the best of them but at a certain point the personal chit chat makes me feel like I am wasting valuable time. So I do math problems in my head. It occupies my brain and doesn't impede my concentration on their voice.

I also like the Xanax idea.
