Being from Texas, I laughed out loud at this. Had to share.

In east Texas I feel like our two seasons are hot and wet and hot and dry.

As opposed to West Texas, where we have a hot dry season followed by a hotter dry season.

To me, it's always been a mindset.

I live in Texas. I have no right to complain about the heat in July and August. I knew that going in. I could live anywhere, but chose here.

However, I feel like I've fulfilled my contractual obligation by the 2nd week of September. I'm not expecting wintry mix or anything, but after my birthday (Sept 10 - keep that in mind), it's a violation of decency standards for the weather to push much into the 90's.

Kind of the opposite in Minnesota. Snow in November/December/January is expected. That's on me. I shouldn't have to put on boots and a parka to get groceries in April, though. That's firmly out of bounds.

Now, having laid out the terms, where to I petition for redress of my grievances?

We have two seasons, summer and cold fronts. My friends up north tell me they also have two, winter and orange cones.
