I am always amused, yet slightly annoyed, when people complain about being hot when it's 82 degrees in May.

But damn, it's a hot mother****er out there these days.

Tues, July 17 - Mon, July 23 will likely go down as the hottest week in the history of Waco TX.
Reported high temp each day:
Tues - 106
Wed - 108
Thurs - 108
Fri - 109
Sat - 108
Sun - 109
Mon - 114 (highest temp ever recorded in Waco)

That's an avg high of 108.857 per day.



(FYI - the normal high for July is 97)

It is 112 right at the Hewitt Elementary Weather Underground station. We could see 114 today.

112 is the alltime high in Waco (Aug 12 1969--I was 6 and remember walking downtown with my mom and seeing the thermometer at Citizens National Bank showing 119 (reflected off the pavement)).

According to KWTX we just tied the record with another hour or two left to heat up a bit more.

I was out feeding the cows and doing maintenance stuff for about an hour in the sun when it was supposed to be 111. Yeah, it's hot, but if I hadn't heard it was 111, I would have sworn it was only 103.
