Was written by Willis Alan Ramsey, who wasn't born in Texad but was raised here! The song was covered by America before the C&T covered it!

For the record, Jimmy Seals and Dan Seals were cousins of country star Johnny Duncan and Nephew of TommyDuncan who was the lead singer for Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. Dan became a country star.

Dash Crofts is the lightweight here.

And Jim Messina was the real talent in L&M. He was the producer and bass player for Buffalo Springfield, founder and producer of Poco. He basically took Loggins who had no success and produced all of their albums before sending Loggins on his own.

Easy now.... Dash Crofts was born in Cisco, Tx .... I guess you would give him more credit if he had been born in Ranger!
