Some Partying: KOT
Abstainers: Phi Chi, (large gap) BUX (Beta Upsillon Chi)

whats the word on Phi Delts, Sig Eps, SAE, Chamber?

Phi Delt is still off campus I believe.
Sig Ep is below Sigma Chi but in the partying column.
SAE just got back on campus this semester. I would consider them a rebuild.

Chamber is a different animal now that they are coed. They are definitely not a fraternity.

Just curious, what was SAE kicked off for? And for how long?

Have any others been kicked off in recent years?

Admin were tough on fraternities when I was there 20 years ago (I wasn't in SAE). Sounds like that hasn't changed much.

Baylor is as hard on fraternities as ever.

SAE got kicked off for drinking and hazing violations.

Phi Delt got kicked off during the whole crazy stuff going down about their president being accused of raping a girl and that they had an off campus party where it happened.

Frats that party: ATO, Sigma Chi, Fiji, Kappa Sig, Delt, SigEp, KA, Pi Kapp.

Frats that kind of party: KOT

Frats that don't party: Phi Chi

Frats that no one talks about and that barely have any members: Beta, TKE


Probably best 3 frats right now: KOT, ATO, Sigma Chi

are Fraternities allowed to haze anymore? what are some of the typical things done now to pledges? cant force them to drink, drug or steal stuff for fun? harass members lol...or do they just get the pledge book signed by 2 or 3 of the members friends and report back? Not sure what is required at Baylor anymore

Frats are still for insecure people that can't make friends independently. Archaic.

Not much hazing going on these days.

SAE, SigEp, and a few others have actually gotten rid of "pledgeship" entirely. National fraternity decision for legal liability reasons. Others like KA, Beta, Kappa Sig, etc now have programs other than traditional pledge ship they encourage chapters to do...they call them different names but they are all the same. I assume within the next 10 years no national fraternity will have a "pledgeship process" anymore.

Doing stuff for memebers, driving them around, buying them lunch, and some push-ups once in a while is probably the worst of what you will find on campus these days. Things are way way different than the 1990s or 2000s.

Were you in a fraternity?

I think Kappa Sig is back. They were kicked off for a while.

I pledged an unnamed fraternity at Baylor in the late 70's and hazing was the norm. I wouldn't want a family member of mine to go through that. Yes, I made it but the hazing is meaningless. Thanks for y'all responses.

I was in one back in the 90's. I remember how strict it was back in the 1990's and into the early 2000's.

I guess I'm not surprised what has transpired over the past 20 or so years.
