Speaking of bulls, just after I got married my new father-in-law told me about a rather wealthy individual in the family from many years ago. Specifically, this was in the Great Depression, so you need to keep that in mind....

Apparently this particular gentleman owned a large ranch in Florida, and he heard about a very high priced bull up in Georgia. He drove up, examined the bull and paid the asking price of $10,000 which was a princely sum in those times. The bull was loaded onto a trailer, and he made the 10 hour drive back to the ranch in Florida.

The bull was unloaded into a corral where he just stood there looking around and cowering.

A friend came over to see what a $10,000 bull looked like, but the bull just cowered. To get him to walk around a bit, the rancher picked up a rock and threw it at the bull. As luck would have it, the rock was a bit larger than probably necessary, and instead of just tossing the rock in the general direction of the bull, the rock found its way to the forehead of the bull. The bull dropped to the ground. Dead. The $10,000 bull was on the property for less than an hour, and he never got to do what bulls are supposed to do.

True story.

That wasn't much of a bull. Must have had other issues. I've hit bulls square in the head with iron pipes and it doesn't even phase them.

Bulls are like people.
Some are timid, some are a bit tougher than others.

That camper could be quite a fixer-upper. I have a friend that remodeled a smaller one than that and it looks great. Might want to head back over that way and hook up to it.

Sad to report that the Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge had to shut down per the Gov's order. We are being forced to drink at home now.
And I sure miss sports.
Been shooting off of the front porch a lot more, though.

You definitely win the prize for distancing yourself the farthest during these trying times. I'm 15 miles from the nearest town but do have some neighbors within firing distance,

Corona or not, I love social distancing.

We still make our own fun out here.
And I'm proud to say that unlike Dallas and Austin, bars and restaurants are still open west of the Pecos.
