WOW! Still impressed. I was fortunate enough to live across the street from NASA 1 in Clear Lake back in the days of the original Mercury 7 Astronauts.

NASA contractor were some of the best paying jobs for recent Baylor grads. Some of those guys were hard partying guys. I remember seeing the late Gus Grissom, the original party animal in and around the area's clubs.

I cannot believe how fast time has flown since Alan Shepard blasted off into space.

I also recall being the sole person in the dining room of the Adolphus hotel in Dallas when Glenn walked on the moon. The waitress assured me it was fake and it was all being done in a hanger in Hollywood. Honestly!
