I would wager that everyone on here that is 60 or older has done a Joe Cocker impersonation at some point (or points) in their life!

My son turned 42 earlier this month..Of all the singers/groups I've heard over the years, NOT ever seeing Elvis is my biggest regret..He was a phenomenon for our American pop culture...and they don't come along very often..

49 years ago tonight I attended Elton John's concert at The Cotton Bowl. Steely Dan opened for Elton. "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" had not been released but Elton did a lot of tunes from the soon to be released album.

I had graduated from high school in May and spent the summer in Waco, taking a summer school class at BU and working at Citizens National Bank. Went home for a short break and went to the concert.

Pretty sure Elton played this one from the "Don't Shoot Me" album….. sans pretty sure he appeared in the duck suit.
