Let me say that I saw first hand the fervor that Metallica fans have for the group and their music...I was in Vegas late February for my son's wedding and Metallica had turned the town on its ear. The metal genre is pretty polarizing. The technical proficiency required just on the instrumentation alone is pretty steep. Perhaps some of the subject matter keeps it out of the mainstream, but bands like Iron Maiden and Megadeth absolutely deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, if acts like Madonna and JayZ are….
