Young adults have faced a variety of pandemic-related consequences, such as university closures and lost income, which may have contributed to their poor mental health. During the pandemic, a higher-than-average proportion of young adults (ages 18-24) experience anxiety and/or depressive symptoms (56 percent ). Young adults are more likely than other adults to report substance use (25 percent vs. 13 percent) and suicidal thoughts (26 percent vs. 11 percent ). Young adults were already at high risk of poor mental health and substance use disorder prior to the pandemic, but many did not receive treatment. Having a stressful life is really a big problem these days. Are you one of these young lads? What are your thoughts about this...

Saw a report where the average teenager and young adult in modern America has about the same anxiety levels as the average psychiatric patients did in the 1950s.

Corporate media/Hollywood/Big Tech-internet is literally driving young people insane.

Wow, that is really bad news but I actually disagree about the percentages.

The percentages are real and it's quite alarming. We are into a mental health pandemic right now driven by the Coronavirus pandemic itself.

Exactly! Multiple studies have found a strong link between heavy social media and an increased risk for depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts.

Precisely! The COVID-19 situation has led to the worsening of many people's mental health. Anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder are some of such conditions. These worries are not helpful for anyone's mental health. Not surprisingly, it makes sobriety during the coronavirus pandemic harder.
