The Grandaddy Of All Tarps

To those that know … is this a standard feature, or are ticket sales down this year?

Tickets are down.

I didn't think I had seen it before, but I don't always notice off-field details. Tough for Rose Bowl organizers to take, I'm sure.

I've seen it for UCLA games but never for the Rose Bowl games.

People are leaving that state in droves, when only the idiots are left it just gets worse

At least they played the Rose Bowl in the actual Rose Bowl

I attended a Rose Bowl game years ago and I can tell you those seats covered by tarps are the worst seats in the stadium. The first row is basically ground level and almost impossible to see the game with all of the press on the field. Plus the ones on the sideline are worse especially the ones behind the benches.

The whole stadium is antiquated design. I get the history but those bench seats are garbage. I always laugh when people hold up the Rose bowl as the best of the best. Pft, rather seat in a modern stadium with backed seats and great sight-lines then a heap with "tradition"
