Although the score will be a little misleading. We will have more offensive yardage than they do, but a couple of turnovers deep in our territory will set up a short field for 14 of their 21 points. Otherwise, our D will hold them to roughly 2.0 ypc. Plus, ISU's OC will call a conservative passing game for Dekkers for short out patterns, which won't hit our weakness in the secondary too much.

Defensively, under a 100 yards total team rushing allowed per game.

Does not bode well for Baylor, their secondary, and run-first oriented offensive scheme.

Unfortunately, BigXII reality of the current state of the team (and their OC's approach) sinks in for the Bears this Saturday. But, with that said....

Yes, Iowa State is better than BYU in pretty much every measurable computer rating. Some people have built BYU up to be some great powerhouse just because they beat us. Just like they got blown out by Oregon, they have about 3 more blowouts coming on the their schedule. They are a good, not great, team.

Bingo, the Baylor fanbase has this obsession with crowning everyone who beats BU as this playoff contender. Weirdly enough most on here called Oregon overrated until they pounded BYU… that same group is now MIA.

Hold up…don't say the "Baylor fan base" suggested BYU was a playoff contender! Just because a handful of posters and media talking heads dubbed BYU that, certainly doesn't encompass the majority of Baylor fans. In fact in my opinion, anyone that called BYU a playoff contender is foolish. Baylor had one of the weakest game plans for the game against BYU, and STILL damn near won the game. BYU losing to Oregon wasn't a shock, there is a reason Oregon was favored in that game at Autzen. What Georgia did to Oregon is the same thing they would do the vast majority of teams in college football.

An offensively sloppy game by both teams while defenses feast. Baylor starts too slow and it costs them the game in another grind.

Hope I'm wrong.

BYU at home against us was an aberration. We beat BYU on any neutral field. That crowd and the intensity it fed was too much for young players - especially Shapen. It forced Grimes into a conservative approach (smartly, he had no choice).

ISU will be similar but not as intense and we will be more experienced with handling it. But I think ISU is better than BYU and beat us in a close game.

It is a free board. Most of those people who are predicting unusual scores are trolls.

Not 1 person on here is a "troll" literally everyone commenting is a regular poster. Just because some think ISU may win doesn't make them a troll.

BYU and ISU comparison is over blown.

1. Baylor was BYU bowl game. Beating the current conference champion and future conference-mate was made an off-season priority.
2. BYU brought out the best from their fans
3. Both teams got beat up after that game. We had a powder puff game after Baylor-BYU. They did not.
4. We had a lot of young players at BYU. Let's see how this respond now.
5. Overall, Baylor is more talented and faster than ISU.
6. ISU has an advantage at home.
7. This is a more important game for Baylor than ISU.
