The only way to get rid of stadium DJ would have him blast his rap during that embarrassing pregame prayer. Problem solved.

Jesus didn't care too much for traditions on this Earth. Neither should we if they are now obsolete.

Tradition would say we need to dress up in a sport coat and a tie to watch a game. That's stupid. You don't dress like a European in Texas where we are parallel with Egypt, India and the Middle East. You dress for the weather you live in, not the weather you came from.

Marching bands, cheerleaders, all obsolete because of modern technology. Use technology if it's better than what we had before, don't use it if it's not.

It won't be long until there's a live DJ on the berm with a DJ board hyping up the crowd. It won't be long until there's laser lights and all the stuff you see at a concert. The new experience will be football + a live concert.

If you stick to your traditions too long, eventually the students just stay at home on TikTok instead of watching your boring game their granddad watched when he was alive.

Let me state it clearly: evolve or die gramps.
u clearly don't attend games because we have had a dj on the berm with a deck all season.....
Some folks were actually busy watching a football game.

They ain't go there to play DJ.

Maybe we need an NIL deal to recruit a better student DJ.

our dj is employed by the cowboys and has a strong track record working for multiple schools b4 & pro teams

Blame Baylor for the leash they put on him. Had a convo at my tailgate yesterday b4 the game with him. He is doing what he can with what he is given. We can also blame Baylor for the fan song vote choices available. Eric church has no place being played at a football game let alone when you are trying to hype up the crowd and team. I'm game atmosphere issues begin & end with the Baylor, not the dj that the cowboys love and let do whatever he wants which results in a great product. He djs outside the stadium during pregame

When Eric Church is actually at the Baylor game…playing his song isn't a bad idea!

Not really…more like young punk doesn't give a sh*t about a cool Baylor tradition. A tradition that has been around a lot longer than you have.
Ok boomer.

U can still do the chant. I do it every single kick off. The DJ blaring music to hype up the team and fans doesn't prevent you from standing up and rasing your bear claw. But keep yelling at the clouds.

Blare the music before kickoff…totally fine with that. Is it asking too much to stop for 15 seconds, while the fans do "Sic 'em", as the ball is being kicked?

Man, I hate going to a concert to hear my favorite band, and they have the wrong game on the TV.

The " roar of the crowd" is still the best. It's being tuned down by people waiting for the blasts from the speakers to be cut off.

Exactly which Karen decides what is "good" music for Baylor fans? Is Tammye Faye still running things?

You can pretty much guarantee that any response beginning with "ok boomer" is going to be reason free and lacking in any critical thinking.

Maybe I'm getting old but sometimes I'd like to discuss the game with my friend or family member sitting next to me. I have to yell in order to do this. It's so loud all the time. I just want it to stop. The natural sounds of the game are lost. It's just so loud. I don't even know why the band shows up. A couple of well placed songs is all you need. Game experience has declined for me.

This was your experience 40 years ago and it was legit. It is not the experience of today. If we keep trying to do the same thing that's been done for 80 years, when you are dead there won't be anyone left to go to the game.

Students want/expect more. You can complain about that or you can see that people are trying to keep the game relevant for another 80 years. It will not be around if it never evolves to what people want these days. Look at empty stadiums and new stadiums built smaller than the previous one for the trend.

I clearly have not as my middle son has been having soccer games at the same time as every home game this year.

It is good to see that Baylor is dipping it's toes in the water of what I've been preaching for years. There is so much more they could do to make it the most unique college football experience in the universe, but nobody seems to care about my opinion.

This doesn't surprise me.

What Baylor needs is a Jesus loving DJ who also loves football, and can be both the DJ and the hype man all game to keep the crowd engaged.

Then they can trust the DJ to play whatever he wants as they know he won't be playing trash lyrics, but can venture out into better songs than what a Sunday school teacher would choose.

It's threads like these that make me realize that I probably am the only Baylor grad that dated a dancer for Tina Turner, got so drunk at a rave in London I was sick for two days and helped bail Willie Nelson out of jail,

But really, tell me more about what kind of music everyone likes.

Not impressed.

UNLESS you had:
  • Dated Tina Turner herself
  • Been the organizer of the rave, and
  • Busted Willie Nelson out of jail

I do like the stadium sing alongs.
I do wish for more replays during time outs and reviews even bad plays. I could not see Shapen's int so I knew what went wrong.
I have seen enough dancing students and kids and babies waving at the camera to last me a life time.

More replays please

It's too loud for too long. And I continue to be baffled as to why they can't solve the issue of the band and DJ playing at the same time.

I'll ask again. Does anyone know who is actually in charge of game day presentation for coordinating DJ, scoreboard, etc.? Who is the censor?
Waco1947
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I sent this to a contact at fan experience. I don't if I rate enough for a response but we will see
1) blasting the music during kickoffs overwhelms "Sic'Em Bears" so that I notice the crowd has given it up. I love the Sic em and hate to lose it because you can't hear it over the music
2) I do like the stadium sing alongs.
3) I do wish for more replays during time outs and reviews even bad plays. I could not see Shapen's INTs so I knew what went wrong.
3) Constant video shots dancing students, kids and babies waving at the camera are ok but too much. Show me replays.
4) the stadium music plays over GWB during time outs and reviews. The band is a part of the game day experience. They work hard. I want to hear them.
Thank you
