Great TD for Deuce.

Frogs look somewhat discombobulated now. It may get a lot worse for them before it gets better. Heck, the way things are going now the Cats could do to them what Texas did to OU.

And they have everything blacked out, including the logos on the field!

Gotta believe he'll definitely be in the running at Ga Tech and Auburn (assuming it opens), at minimum. And that's before other jobs open. Who knows, though. Maybe he had his taste of that type of football and will prefer to stay at a lower profile place?

Door still open

I like Duggar in desperation mode though. Always screw it up

Tcu is our 2019 team. They've been pulling games out and have a ton of breaks but aren't that good.

Ok st choked and still plenty of time to turn this around. They find ways to win. Think they lose a few when it's all done.

So long as one of their losses is in Waco.

Yeah. They'll have at least 2 losses by time we play them. And they'll beat us

Wow almost a Dugan interception!

I'm telling ya. Every time. It's what Dugan do

Did we have a shot at Johnston when he was coming out of Temple, or was he TCU all the way?

K State is good, not great. They'll lose at least 2 conference games before all is said and done. They're well coached and pretty fundamentally sound, but they'll get out athleted by a couple of teams.
historian

I expect one of those losses to be in Waco.

The conference really is wide open. I think only the two at the bottom realistically have no shot at the title.

Yep. Same for tcu. A home loss for them here would do wonders for keeping things wide open

I don't remember anyone who came in as touted as a recruit, performed beyond expectations in his first full year enough to be mentioned as a Heisman favorite, then lose his starting job and fall so far over 2 years than Spencer Rattler. I thought he might rejuvenate himself in South Carolina but he's basically one of the worst QBR's of any P5 starting QB, and posted 5 TDs with 8 picks.

Nebraska and Wisconsin fans won't think he's a sexy enough name, but those schools would be crazy not to kick the tires on Klieman in the event they don't elevate the interims into the head position. Not sure how deep Klieman's ties are to K State. Maybe he wouldn't even listen anyway. Like Leipold, he's a really good coach.
I just told my Baylor text chain that Klieman is the guy everyone thinks Matt Campbell is.

Never thought of it that way before. That's actually spot on.

Thought they were a paper Tiger though benefiting greatly from some luck and key opponent injuries

They looked good last week beating OSU….I wasn't expecting this kind of start either….especially after the quick 7-0 lead
KSU looks like the only complete team in a very unimpressive Big 12. But Frogs do have a history of comebacks so hoping cats keep coming with pressure. Backup QB's have that flashy first game and then flame out. D's aren't prepared for backup surprises.
What's unimpressive about the Big 12 exactly? It's lack of a playoff team? So what. There's no conference with the depth of competent teams that the Big 12 has. Every other league has two or three games every week that are utterly unwatchable.

And I bet one of those happens in Waco.

I watch a lot of football. Our lack of a candidate in the playoffs is proof. KSU is the only team I've seen in Big 12 that shows athleticism like top 10. If you like fitness the Big 12 is great. It just hasn't played well on national scale.

Proof of what? That we don't have a playoff team? Again, so what. It's good football.

People don't watch Ole Miss or Michigan most years and say they suck because they're not playoff caliber teams. Why people do the same thing with Big 12 teams that are every bit as good as those types of programs is beyond me. The Big 12 has played fine on a national scale. It's nonconference and bowl records are always solid and every metric says it's a good league.

And you're impressed by K-State's athleticism, of all things? That's a new one.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is driving, throws an out and up, PennSt DB pushes WR down 5 yards before the spot where the ball was thrown, safety intercepts, runs it back 20 yards, and…..no call.

Between Ok State, us and UT, I think 2 of the 3 will clip them. I suspect the first two. But UT also has the athletes to clip them too. Of course, if the UT and Ewers of today shows, then K State will take care of them. If not, K State always comes up with at least one head scratching loss each year.

Alice -- you and I are usually on the same page but I kinda think the opposite of KSU. I think they have one of the least athletic teams in the Big 12. I think their strength is the fact they are pretty sound fundamentally, and that helps them overcome some of the lack of athleticism. Vaughn, of course, is very athletic. But I don't see a lot of other athletes out there for them. The O line looks like a bunch of previously fat, corn boys who have been diligent in the weight room, and in study hall with the play book and know their assignments really well. Same with most of their defense.

K State had the head scratching loss vs Tulane.

I think it may have been headscratching to a lot of the media, who didn't realize Tulane had a lot of people coming back and was headed to a really good season (as witnessed by where there are now). But they still always lose a conference head scratcher every year, which kinda started with us back in 2012.

I think they meant Oklahoma doesn't play wel on a national scale

Just imagine if Texas had done athletically what baylor has done as a department the last 15 years.

There's be 10 30 for 30 episodes about it
