I know we didn't score offensively. Curious how many yards we had in 2nd half? Only had 280 total. I'm guessing the bulk of those were in the 1st half.

Pretty disappointing effort with the lead

Baylor leads Texas 19-17 at halftime.
Some first-half stats:

Baylor: Passing Blake Shapen 12-20-153, 2/0;

Rushing Richard Reese 12-47;

Receiving Josh Cameron 3-45, Monaray Baldwin 3-35, Qualan Jones 3-10; Defense S Christian Morgan 3 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL

So far, Baylor has outgained Texas 224 yards to 136. The Bears are outpassing and outrushing the Horns, have yet to commit a penalty, is a perfect 2-for-2 on fourth-down tries, has rattled off 45 plays already to Texas' 22 and holds a dramatic edge in time of possession, 21:01 to 8:59. Ewers has been sacked four times.

So we had 56 total yards of offense and 0 points in the 2nd half? Brilliant

Yep. Not much of anything.

Reminded me of 2nd half in Big 12 Championship. Can't win with a one half quarterback.

I was at the game. Not sure if this was noticed on TV. On that late 4th Q interception that essentially ended the game, there was a guy wide open at about the 20 that would have likely been 6 it appeared. Interception looked like it was intended for the Texas defender.

Shapen has a really hard time reading the defender sitting in coverage on the deep crossing route, has been that way all season. Maybe the game just moves too fast for him? I like the kid but 9 interceptions with 14 TD passes isn't ideal if we're hunting respect and trying to build toward another championship.

The entire second half was offensive to me. In almost every game.

I think it might have a bit to do with it but I also think it's lack of a killer instinct. Or desire. Baylor seems to be a team that is not willing for whatever reason to put an opponent away.

I never played QB or football at any high level because I was too small. And, it is easy to see things sitting up high in the stands. I am amazed that QBs can see anything downfield at ground level, especially having to evade demolition trucks trying to get to them. I guess they know where receivers are suppose to be, but they don't know how the defensive LBs and secondary are going to move until the play starts.
