And if Patterson had been coach, they might have been looking at another 5-7 season. The toxicity the guy brought was monumental, perhaps larger than his ego. Could be leveraged well in recruiting though. I agree it came out of nowhere though. This team and that unbeaten FSU team are the two worst teams to ever make the playoff.
Both teams had uncanny breaks game after game that to their credit they took advantage of. Couldn't be repeated though if you played it back 100 times.

I hope Michigan kills TCU. With their idiot fans and things they have said about Baylor, I will never cheer for them, Big 12 or not.
This is good for the B12 in that a one loss B12 team not named UT or OU got into the CFP. I sure wish we could have spoiled their opportunity.
I think the committee intentionally put TCU 3 to avoid the humiliation of a Georgia beat down, it would look too much like Cincy 2021.
Tcu over Michigan book it **** the big 10 my boss is a Purdue alum and he always makes it a point to trash the big 12 when Texas and OU announced they where leaving for SEC first thing he told me was "how does it feel knowing Baylor athletics will be irrelevant in a couple years in a G5 conference" I'll go with the Texas team all day

So many "Michigan will annihilate them" comments. Who did Michigan exactly play all year? They played one game against a legit team, arguably two but Penn St would be a 7 win team in the Big12 this year. Michigan has one of the worst strength of records in the country. Not saying TCU will win but won't be shocked if they do. They're battle tested and Michigan is not.

Hooray for Michigan looking good against Purdue. Purdue would be curb stomped by Kansas St.
Maybe the Big10 will make me eat crow but I don't think they're that good this year. Ohio St has weird lapses like almost losing to 1-11 Northwestern. The entire Big10 West is an utter hot mess this year. Illinois was the front runner for most of the year before choking.

If TCU loses to Michigan, they will have finished 12-2 with no Conference Championship and no Bowl win. Is that still better than BUs 12-2 record last year including the Conference Championship and Sugar Bowl win?

Don't like TCU any more than anybody else on this board, but they earned a CFP spot and the B12 very much needs to go out and win a CFP game. Hope they at least beat Michigan.

TCU is not good. It will get ass raped by Michigan and embarrass the XII.
TCU is well coached and plays hard but they have been extremely lucky this year. Takes more than luck to beat Michigan.
