Love this guys voice! Sounds like he is creating leaders out on the field.

No kidding. Man, by the end of the year you won't be able to hear him.

BTW, he is definitely a realist.

Can't decide if he is:

1) Downplaying quality play with "Aw shucks, maybe we'll be a good team someday" coach speak
2) Trying to set realistic expectations
3) Telling us we have a problem

Maybe 2 and 3 are the same.

Starting a freshman at center and moving a TE to center/guard does not sound like something you do by choice.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the snaps are for real.

Also found his comments about Texas recruits and their possible margin for improvement interesting.

Coach Deleone is the real deal. I am greatly buoyed up by this interview. Basically, what I'm hearing in this is that we have Mo Porter, Tecklenburg and Ryan Miller as made men on the O Line--anchors. Two more will be added soon as starters-- the best of the rest.

You got to love Coach Deleone. An old guy with all that experience, going with the challenge of building an O Line. Feels like war doesn't it? It is.
