Post-Spring Gut-Check: Baylor Football Bound for How Many Wins?

After Spring football, it’s natural to ask yourself: what do we have on our hands, here? How good is this team? Are they set up for success?

In the modern, transfer portal college football landscape, the roster is never really “set.” There is always the potential to add or lose a transfer. Baylor still could add a few guys, but for now, it appears the roster is mostly “set.” We more or less know what this team is.

Mostly agree, I'd have utah squarely in the L column. Would love to be wrong but I think they'll destroy the Bears

Well, the early Post Spring Top 25 poll has Texas @ 10, Utah @ 14, TCU @ 16, KSU @ 18 and TT @ 20....should be an interesting year for us...

Utah returns 8 defensive starters...

I think Utah will be the best team we play all year

7-5, maybe 8-4. Schedule a little nicer and defense should be improved (offense about the same).

Other than Long Island & Texas State every game could be considered a toss up. They win games they shouldn't almost every year and lose games they shouldn't almost every year. Who knows how this year will go; I'm just hoping for better than 6-6.

We get Utah, Texas, Tech, and WV all at home, which is nice. Hopefully fans show up loud and ready to contribute.

Interestingly we play 3 of the new teams. All will be adjusting to the rigors of a P5 schedule. With Kansas now respectable there are no off weeks.

An improved defense should take some pressure off the offense. I'll go with 8-4

Texas St- W
Utah- L
LIU- W
Texas- W
UCF- W
Tech- W
Cincy- L
ISU- W
UH- W
KSU- L
TCU- W
WV- L

Regardless of how the other 9 games play out

Tech is way overrated .

I'm feeling a win against Texas and revenge against the Toads, but we brain fart against a listless WV team

Are you ready to hit that back on the sweep, intercept that pass, return that punt, carry the ball on the off tackle, throw the back shoulder pass for the clutch 3rd and six completion or kick the walk off field goal? If not you are not contributing no matter how early you come or how loud you yell.

Plenty of Ags at games yell a lot. Best record this century 9-4 3 times and 9-1 once.

Suggesting your pregame tailgate and how loud you yell in the stands made the win possible cheapens the thousands of hours of hard work, pain, and sacrifice the players have put into the game.

Players make the games great. We are only spectators.

Having put in the blood sweat in tears in a past life I can tell you that it makes it a heckuva lot more fun when the crowd is loud and engaged. Players love it. Opposing teams hate it. Bring the noise

There's a reason it's called home field advantage, and Vegas recognizes it.

While it's not the main reason you will win games it is a factor on the margin, and shouldn't be discounted.
