How long do you want to ignore this user?

TCU twitter with a completely different tone today in the replies to this tweet. Constant harassment from TCU fans over the years online and at games regarding the Briles scandal at Baylor. But now "it's not that serious" and "he's just meeting with his son". It seemed to be a pretty big deal when you used a horrible incident against the Baylor fanbase. Funny how a narrative flips isn't it. Forget HypnoToad, it's Hypocrites.

Nobody cares.

Give the man a break. He's suffered enough.

Move on….our hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The visit probably only lasted 58-61 minutes.

It's not TCU's fault that we were run by a bunch of *******.

There is a difference between being employed by an institution and visiting a relative that is employed by that institution - even if we may not like it.

Yep. This says it all. We folded like a deck or cards and have been reeling since the day the BOR "cried out to God"

KB has been somewhat disappointing as an Offensive coordinator. Yes, flashes of success, but nothing sustained. I truly thought he would be a P5 head coach by now.

Think KB has a seat for CAB on November 18 at Amon Carter Stadium?

Two Sugar Bowls, a Big 12 championship and a higher end of season ranking than Briles ever got. Yeah, we've been reeling.

All good things but we were already headed down that path with Briles. Complete lack of consistency since he has been gone. If you can't see that then I can't help you much

And the excitement. It has basically been gone since Art's offense left town. We were building towards those two Sugar Bowls and another Championship.

Our offense puts me to sleep.

Just as soon as he gets those "raw" and "lube" pass protections down pat, he will be on his way. I never thought much of Kendall ever. Surprised that teams keep hiring him as an OC.

When is the Art Briles page going to be added to this site?

And just for all of the Art lovers; with his defenses and special teams play and overall lack of discipline Art was never going to sniff a national title. His tenure ended about how I thought it was going to end. Art has/had a brilliant offensive mind, but please just make it stop. Baylor is so much better without him.

I'm not surprised. I thought we regressed under his play calling the year we lost to Michigan State. I remember the TCU rain game. He had no bag of tricks.

I have literally fallen asleep multiple times watching our offense last year.

That 2015 team wins a Natty if Russell doesn't get hurt. No team was slowing them down. Head and shoulders the best team in the land prior to injury.
historian
How long do you want to ignore this user?
With a healthy Russell, we definitely would have been much better offensively but I don't know if we would have won a natty. There is no way we can know, it's all speculation. However, I do think we had a clear path to the playoffs & might have gone 12-0. Also, our defense did struggle at times, even against non conference patsies.

I know, I'm splitting hairs. I do like the sentiment & want to believe we will be consistently competitive again.

The Big Red video was quite shocking to them.
IowaBear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Our defense struggled because they were on the field 40 plus minutes a game due to us scoring at will. It's not speculation that the 15 team was the best team in the land prior to his injury. The dude had 35 TDs through 6 games… really through like 3 since he didn't play most 2nd halves. That team beat a top 10 OSU on the road with their 3rd string QB starting.

I'll let you in on a secret: if nothing had happened to Briles, he still wouldn't be here today. He would have stayed initially, and we would have maintained success, but then Texas would have fired Tom Herman after his stint, gone back to Briles and said, "You don't have to interview. Here is more money than Jimbo." And Briles would have been out the door.

Heck, even if it weren't Texas, he would have taken a bigger gig (probably Auburn or LSU) because of the big boys' commitment to NIL. Regardless, he wouldn't be our head coach right now. So it's pointless to whine about the BOR (who screwed up, obviously) because we'd still have a different head coach from Briles today. If you can't see that then I can't help you much.

No one really believes that Baylor would have won the 2015 national title but for Seth Russel's injury.

Interesting speculation, it would have been ironic that had the higher ups been held accountable and Briles remained but he did not get along with Mack and Linda like KMR and left anyway.

Anyone who doesn't think that 15 team had a legit shot (favorite) to win a title has zero football IQ. They went into Stillwater and knocked off a top 10 OSU team rather easily with a 3rd string QB… that alone tells you how good that squad was

I don't know if the 15 team wins a title or not but they damn sure would have been in the playoffs.

It wouldn't have been because he couldn't get along. Mack would have done anything for him as the football coach. But Baylor can only go so far in the long run in this environment. TCU had a weird season last year, but they won't sustain it. Briles would have eventually jumped to a "can't say no" offer if he had remained successful at Baylor.

The best team we beat before his injury was who? West Virginia? That team was good. But there is no way we can say with any sort of confidence that it was the best in the country. That's silly fan board talk. We hadn't played any of the good Big 12 teams yet, and Lord knows we didn't face anyone out of conference with a pulse.

Our basketball program is much better. Putting the word "possibly" in there is a joke.
