Baylor fans,

Looking forward to our game on Saturday. Sorry about Shapen, but Rising likely won't play either.

I am fully expecting a very tough game. Baylor has a lot of pride and I expect a true bounce back from a game they may not have taken very seriously, truth be told.

Good luck on Saturday. Early game, should still be hot and humid. Playing Baylor in Waco, makes me very nervous.

Fingers crossed both our teams show up like we want them to and stay healthy through this contest.

Wish I were attending this yr. I'll make sure to make it the next time around. Love the area, the food and have some friends in Dallas. They will absolutely be there.

It will be hot, but it should not be close.
If you can't beat Texas State at home, you won't beat a solid Utah team at home unless Utah just self-destructs. If Utah gifts some points to the Bears we'll gladly accept them.
I had a lot of questions coming into the season. I got answers, but I did not like any of them except for WR & QB play. With Blake Shapen injured QB play is a question again.
It is what it is. Good Luck and welcome to the Big 12 for however long the Big12 lasts.

Baylor took TXSt seriously, that's the problem. They were far better than anybody knew however.

Seems to me that Rising will play, the typical coach speak that I heard today ("Game time decision") usually means they will play. Utah just wants to make Baylor prepare for the backups all week.

It will likely be 95* at kickoff & going up the whole game to a high of about 103*; not sure why early Sept games in Texas aren't mandated to be played at night to avoid that nonsense. But lucky for Utah, because of the heat, and the loss last week, the BU crowd will be very small & very tame. Should be easy pickin's for the Utes.

And of Course we have no offensive game plan to
Take advantage of these conditions. Nothing about what we do will wear Utah out.

Just such a bizarre turn of events by Mack and his direction for the program

That is VERY messed up.

We have a couple fan who post on twitter (X) who we just don't claim as fans. He's one of them. PigBuss is another. Clearly you see why.

Just completely unaware of anything, those guys.

Sad that our fan base can get tainted by these nozzles. And, we know that it does.

Please know they are the minority of the minority. We were actually hoping they got busted for marching on the Capital, Jan 6th. and would be taken away for a while. I mean, they were probably there. They seem the type...

I have to say we are very happy to be a member of the B12 and look forward to many hard fought games against your program. I think most if not all of the BYU community is respectful of Baylor, WACO et al. Sadly, one of the most atrocious, disrespectful, entitled, and indignant fanbases in the country is also joining the Conference. Wishing you much success against the University of Utah. I hope Baylor wins 49-0 as they have already proclaimed themselves national champions in our local media and believe they are entitled to the CFP playoff by virtue of losing two Rose Bowls in a row. Good luck and may they receive the welcome they deserve in the Bear Den.
Thanks, gotta deal the the Bobcats first.
Yeah, let's win the FIRST game please. I'm not sure the last few games we actually played on the field should give us enough confidence to take any opponent for granted.

Beat Texas St - then yak it up with Utah fans (or BYU fans who start threads about Utah on our board).

Ute fans need to just be better people and hope that everyone forgets they acted like they were too good for the Big 12 for months before being forced to join.

The answer is for you guys to quit posting garbage like your friend Jazzy Ute. It seems like you're trying to blame BYU for you guys acting like jerks.

Also, all of you quit cluttering up our board telling us how it's not your fault that you have a bad reputation. Just do better.

We heard the same thing about Rising leading up to the Florida game. "Game time decision", so many of us thought he may play then too.

This is a week later, so we hope he does play. But will he even be ready? He came back from an injury last yr. and started against Oregon. We lost. And he didn't look great. He had been out for like 2 weeks.

This time he is coming back from major surgery and he was limping some on the sideline last week. So, we will see. Again, love to have him back, we need him for sure. But we want an effective Rising when he comes back.

From Aranda, sounds like your QB2 is pretty darn good.

This is the worst possible scenario for Utah. Utah has struggled on the road and in the early game. And this is both. Add to that a hungry, motivated, good team in Baylor and this will definitely be a game.

I feel like TX St. was sort of a trap game. And they also surprised by how good they were. Heard the poral had been really good to them.

Lot of offense last game in Waco. I don't think Utah is built for a shoot-out. Not without a seasoned Rising.

Hope you are right.

What a joke...most Utah fans respect Baylor and the BIG12. Yes, a lot of us lost our minds with the realignment craziness. And yes, we have some idiot twitter guys like any school. But don't let a BYU fan that is upset that Utah is now going to their conference lead you astray.

Utah has a strong history of good competitive fun with conference teams from Oregon, USC, UW, ASU, etc...and we very much look forward to going to a conference where the fans are passionate about FB.

I look forward to new travel destinations and new rivalries.

I think I speak for most Utah fans...we are stoked to join the BIG12 next year and are very excited to experience the passion of their fan bases when they come to Salt Lake City and when we go to their place.

I can't wait to get to Waco this weekend.

Idiot Ute fan twitter does not represent our fan base. Unfortunately, we have some idiot fans that starve for attention and post stupid stuff. But the vast majority of fans are super excited to play in a league with Baylor.

Also, some don't know this...but our OC's son is a GA at Baylor.

Trust me...there is no love lost with Utah fans and BYU. They are furious that we are joining them in the BIG12. Yes, BYU has a few guys dedicated on CFBreddit and other mediums throwing all sorts of shade trying to advertise any bad behavior, but most people realize that these examples are the small small minority. That said, we are stoked to be there. Jazzy is an idiot. Pigbus does too much drunk tweeting and then has to apologize later.

Check out our fan boards, these guys have been reprimanded pretty severely by most Utah fans. Sadly, even our idiot Utah fans have social medial. Fortunately, they don't represent the majority...not even close.

The hate has always been real. BYU fan boards posted more about Utah and the PAC12 by an order of magnitude of 100 to 1 during realignment more than their own team or BIG12. They couldn't wait for the PAC12 demise and dreamed of Utah being left out of a good conference.

But when Utah was blessed to receive a BIG12 invite, it was their worse nightmare. Outside of their covid years, they have struggled to be relevant for years and thought this was their chance to finally catch up or beat Utah.

Hate between Utah and BYU will never go away.

But I can tell you...we are so excited to start some rivalry's with the BIG12. I still have nightmares of Andy Dalton ruining our season back in the day. Baylor seems to have one of the coolest stadium fan experiences I have seen. Ok State is Ok state...love the coach. KState is very much like Utah...doesn't always lead the way with blue chips, but get's after it. I love what Texas Tech is doing...I still don't forgive them for the Leach situation...I loved that guy. Anyways...you get the point. We are excited!!

Things like that tweet above do not bother me. Most fans are great in person and the internet brings out the worst in people so I just kinda ignore that stuff. If I was in an airport and watched the Saturday game with a Utah fan they'd probably be fun to have a beer with.

Tomorrow morning may be the battle of the 3rd stringers. For both sides.

Bernard for Utah is out for several weeks now. Injured this week. Ja'Quinden Jackson is dinged up, but hopefully travels, our starting center, starting TE, QB, D tackles, starting DE, are NOT expected back for this game.

We know Shapen is out. Heard your RB1, too? Some defensive players as well? And losing your QB in week 1 is harder than knowing he may not be available, like Rising, so you can do some planning. You guys couldn't have planned for that.

Although I hear your QB is really athletic and should be good. Mississippi transfer?

This should be a truly interesting game for our squads.

Good luck to both tomorrow morning.
