Each year Rhule was here, we were ranked 110th or worse in sacks allowed per game. To put that in perspective. we were worse than New Mexico State and Toledo. Poor Charlie got his skull knocked in the entire time he played here. That guy was tough as nails and stayed in there.
To be fair, Rhule inherited a mess and by his last year we were ranked #55 in yards per carry - which was our best ranking during his stay.
Aranda inherited mediocre offensive talent and from the looks of things, hasn't done much in development or recruiting on that side of the ball, or any side of the ball from our limited data this year.
The point wasn't to say whether rhule's strategy worked well, the point was to say that he had a strategy. I don't think Dave has any kind of niche. All the freaky athletic guys are gone, and frankly most of Dave's recruits are small and lack requisite speed for the modern game
