Self entitlement…. The guy is going to flip in the NFL yet he wants complete control over which team drafts him…

Isn't this what people wanted - for good college players to stay in college longer?

Not a good sign coming from his father.

It's also pretty short-sighted assuming he'll be the top pick this far away from the draft with a full season to play yet.

At this point, what does it matter if you go to the NFL as long as you still have NCAA eligibility. Can make plenty of money and competition is much easier. Have to show it in the NFL, and most of them don't

I don't remember any discussions like that. NIL is based on a court ruling, not an intentional decision by NCAA or the schools

I do. Many fans (including Baylor fans) have long wanted great players to stay in college longer instead of being 3 and out. If extending that time is now one of the results of NIL, then it's giving those fans what they asked for.

The NFL might be finally realizing the damage NIL will do to their product.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

Caleb is a great player, no doubt. But football is a rough sport and sooner or later he will likely sustain a nagging injury which limits their shelf life.

Usually, the first 3 picks in the NFL draft got that way because they're horribly mismanaged franchises. They didn't fall on hard times, have bad luck, or unfortunate injuries. They're chronically bad at football due to chronically bad decisions.
These franchises don't need a top QB to win. They need multiple OL and DL and DBs first. However, those picks don't excite a fan base weary of losing. They pick the big name QB prospect. That top QB goes on to get pounded on when his OL whiffs repeatedly.

You wanna get picked by the 7th or so team. They're the team that might be close to winning.
