David's job is probably safe for this year. My best guess is that if there's not noticeable turnaround next year, the big money folks will get fed up enough to force Mack to make a change and front the buyout money.

Jeff Traylor or Willie Fritz. You can't take a chance on an assistant. Both are known developers and program builders. Neither have had Baylor's resources. UTSA is struggling without their QB this year but I think that is a fluke. His players look better and play harder than ours. Fritz has built at every level from Blinn, NW Missouri, SHSU, Tulane. He is 63 but he seems youthful and his teams play hard. Both also have to rebuild their staffs every year. Give them resources and dollars for their staffs.
