I wonder who God will favor in the Duke - ND game?
Apparently it was ND.

(Not surprising really, Duke are devils)

Alright be honest, who cried a few happy tears!
If the only way we can win is to pull a win out of our ass vs. a former G5 team (that is still G5 in all respects), then we are in dire straits.

No kidding, I've been as down on the team as anyone. But I'm not sure how we can spin last nights win into a negative. That was as much needed of a win as I can remember. Really feels like we're about to go on a mini winning streak

Crazy. I literally stopped and asked the Lord if he could please give this to Aranda and the staff and the team. We get to just move on and go to work on Monday. This is their lively hood.

Please tell me you didn't actually do this. You realize there are Christians on the worst team in the FBS too, right?

God doesn't give a rat's butt about football. We learned that eons ago.

I'm not sure how this thread got turned into a theology debate, but if anyone is interested in the subject of how prayer fits in with God's sovereignty, this is a good read.

Thank you for this.

There are some on these boards who will spin almost anything negatively. Some were probably tempted to demand Scott Drew be fired after we won the natty but kept it to themselves. OK, I'm exaggerating a bit but you get the idea.

There are plenty of folks who are happy about the win but at the same time rightly have ongoing concerns about the state of this program. And they have a right to be concerned. But sure, why don't you just resort to name calling when someone doesn't completely ascribe to your viewpoint.

Exactly who did I call what names? It was a general comment on the negativity that is common on these boards, especially the past year.

I did. There is nothing on this thread or any other I can think of in which I call anyone names. Sometimes I do make generalized comments not aimed it anyone in particular. Rarely do I respond that way to anyone specific unless calling them out on something.

I would wager that everyone shares those concerns. But Saturday's win did address at least a few of the biggest concerns going into that game -- and more importantly, it provided some hope for the rest of the season where none existed previously.

This team gave fans a glimpse of what it can be at its best. It just needs to find that level of execution and intensity earlier and more often.

I'm thankful for the win and these players finally showed up and put forth great effort…but I've already seen enough to know this program is dogsh it and heads need to roll.
Yep, I still stand behind this statement.
