Great track record of success before failing at Neb.

Not sure this would be seen as an attractive landing spot for him since we have a potential lame duck HC.

I actually think Frost is very similar to Aranda, meaning he's probably a really good coordinator just not up for the additional requirements that come with being a head coach.

He did put up that 13-0 record at UCF in his second year... but Nebraska was definitely a flop.

Landing spots…tcu? Well, well, well

13-0 is impressive at any level, but watching UCF, UH and Cincinnati struggle with the rigors of a true P5 schedule (even during an obviously down year in the Big 12) due to lack of roster depth makes me wonder what would have that record been if UCF had competed in a P5 conference that year. I don't think they (or UC a couple of years ago) suddenly drop to a losing record or even .500, but I have a feeling they end with, at minimum, 2 to 3 losses just due to lack of roster depth. Would still be a good record though.

If frost goes to tcu, that means baby briles is available. We can bring in baby briles as OC, Art can work in the background. Maybe kaz will tag along. Maybe we can bring in Gary Patterson as DC.

Frost as OC, Aranda as DC, HC - ??

Always wondered if Art's done any consulting for Kendal, Lebby or Montgomery? Tennessee?

I've also wondered if he helps draw up plays and game plans for his son and son in law. He can't help call them or make adjustments during the games though.

Wouldn't put it past froggy or oU to have Art on retainer with payments made to an offshore account.

Ik it's been a rough start but are the horned frogs really talking about getting rid of Briles already? I'd take him!

Rumors are that TCU is paying Baby Briles somewhere between $1.6-1.8M/year. Can Baylor afford to play that game?

If he keeps it up I doubt he will be getting paid anywhere near that much at his next location

I don't think this board will be satisfied unless they hire somebody with the last name briles

Not likely or OU wouldn't have raised hell over his being on the sideline with his son-in-law on "family day".

Fair. If he wants a good career, he should join Bama as an analyst for his next job.

Is this a serious question? The people in position to make decisions at Baylor care a hell of a lot what the media thinks. Winning is tertiary.

Nebraska lost an unusual amount of close games - he did not get he breaks that Rhule did or DA when Baylor won 12 Championship....

I don't like Nebraska but I like Frost. I'd take him as HC.

He may end up at Bama if they have an opening. A year or two in Saban's rehab and he will be ready for another HC spot.

Nebraska was just an unwinnable position. They want to return to the late 90s immediately but have lost the TX recruiting ties and don't have much to offer.... unless they are getting some good NIL money.

That is definitely a plus that Rhule brought....he's got Texas ties now

He spent time in TX.

I wouldn't act like he has deep TX ties. Time will tell if his brief stint in TX formed any deep ties or if they have already withered with his time in the NFL.

Other people have said it and I agree.

I think our pool of OC candidates will be quite thin due to a lame duck HC running the show.

I'm willing to bet that he has a silent one finger response for the Baptist University. And I would ******** love it!

Any out there that are good OC, come in next year and when aranda is booted, take the HC reigns? Seems OC's make the transition to HC better.

He hired a bunch of Texas coaches and staff members at Nebraska just so he could recruit Texas better
