Ten Things At TCU
Ten Things is back with Baylor facing TCU in Ft. Worth on this sunny and fine day. Here are at least ten things observed during the game
- Wide toss to the short side... Rip it out of the playbook
- Great stick by Cooper Lanz and Caden Jenkins gets a nice return on the fumble
- Blake Shapen needs to ask his wide receivers if they hate him
- Great read finding Dominic Richardson in the flat for the 7-0 lead
- Baylor's defense looks to be keying on the run and slanting the weak side when TCU tips
- The players are being put in a position to make the plays today on both sides of the ball. Some need to execute.
- Those four run calls in the red zone are what we’ve seen all year, and it hasn’t worked
- If you can’t trust Hankins, who can you trust?
- Linebacker and safety coverage may be the worst I’ve witnessed in 30 years. A 4.9 tight end has 140+ yards receiving early in the 3rd quarter
- Shapen is a baller and playing his ass off
- The defense just doesn’t have the physicality to get to the QB or to fight off blocks
- The clock management, constant wasting of 10-15 seconds per substitution, and running a banged-up QB at the end of the 3rd quarter down 11 continue to leave me questioning the staff
- TCU’s TE is going to go for 200+
- and it’s ballgame and time to find out if Baylor will have a new staff in the coming weeks.
