Yep. He'll finally be gone after we have another 3-9 or worse season next year, maybe even before mid-November, but we're going to have to go through this again. The good 'ole days (not) of the '00's are back.

Have always always at least caught glimpses of every game since I started following BU. That won't be the case if Aranda keeps his job. I can think of a good 500 things I'd rather do on Saturdays than watch Dave Aranda continue destroying BU football

i woke up this morning genuinely expecting to see it across twitter and sicem that he was relieved of duties...i just can't believe that mack could watch last nights game (or any other the past 1.5 years) and be like yup this is the what we need, this is the path.

im embarrassed for the school, the players, the fans...and thank god the pac12 teams jumped ship last offseason because if it was this one...something tells me we'd be the Oregon State/Washington State of the world with Tech, OK State announcing their departures to the pac12.

I think if it was going to happen it would be by noon today and we would all unofficially know by right now 10:15 it was occurring.

Surely Rhoades and Livingstone know season tickets, ticket sales in general, donations, etc will be down dramatically. I realize that's just one part of a larger picture, i.e. TV contracts. Even on the + seeing EMPTY stadium sends a message.

Can someone explain, honest, what their thinking could be? The only thing I can come up with has been discussed already… they can't come up with the buyout. Any clue????

I woke up this morning completely expecting exactly what has happened. Just like I completely expected the game to end yesterday exactly as it did.

I know this might sound silly… But being Baylor… I was not expecting to hear any news during church hours this morning.

Agree with other posters that if we don't hear anything today it does not necessarily mean he is staying.… But if we don't hear it tomorrow he must be.

If they are deciding to keep him I hope they at least come out and state it so we aren't speculating needlessly.

Is Tuesday the day that Rhoades speaks with Smoaky on Sicem365? Surely David would have to ask that question if Rhoades hasn't addressed it with Media or anyone... surely?

You get nothing but softballs from the "baylor media" which is also in part why we so soft

During normal game weeks there's always a media session on Monday. I can't remember if they have it the Monday after the season ends.

We have fired coaches in the past during church hours. Again if it was going to happen I suspect we would all actually know it unofficially by now.

David has been good about asking a direct question at times. With chatter on game days with commentators along with Post Game show with Paul after WV game, he even talked about change. He did say "we don't know if Aranda has been fired, but..." Discussions and call-in questions were obviously about it more so than the game.

Support had already collapsed, but starting with Hou game and on the fan base was completely finished with this group. I know numerous fans who will not waste time watching until this is over. Don't know how this is sustainable.

Recruiting is falling off a cliff as well. He couldn't develop when we had top third classes (in the new big 12), no chance with the terrible classes going forward. He can't develop players.

He would need to reel off a conference title and 10 win season next year to get back semblance of support. Not happening. Even teams that competed even with their talent level have moved on (Hou). Danger zone here. I'll wait for Monday by noon
