Only has one year of eligibility left, but the 3-year starter is about as good as it gets as a bridge QB for Robertson/Schobel/etc.

Rumors has it that there are over 90 QBs in the portal. No reason you shouldn't be able to get at least one of quality

I have several coworkers that are pretty tied in at other major programs. A brief rundown of what I've heard.

- Ryan Day would not give McCord assurances that he wouldn't be in a QB competition next year, so McCord bailed.
- tOSU is targeting Dequan Finn from Toledo. Great, great G5 player, but I do question if the step up in competition will be bigger than he can handle.
- Michigan has put all their eggs in the Dante Moore (former UCLA QB who decommitted from Oregon, which set off their pursuit of Novosad) basket at QB for next year.
- Florida State is looking at a guy with one year of eligibility left to serve as a bridge to their young QBs. They'd prefer Dillon Gabriel, but if Mississippi State can give him a big enough bag, it's going to be real tough to pry him away from Lebby.

I think the players like being recruited and like a change of scenery.

We are going to see a group of players treated with kid gloves and the infrastructure players that don't have choices where Coaches will be able to beat the hell out of...

I agree with the sentiment that NIL has lowered my own excitement and general interest in the sport. I used to really enjoy following recruiting, but I don't see much of a point nowadays. I also think it's goofy having to wait with bated breath to see if players on your team are going to get the raise that they want and recommit to the team. I'm sure all of this is fun if your team is one of the haves. It is not fun if your team is one of the have nots
