Simply insane to me that the broadcaster of the CFP announces a 13-0 G5 champion making their first trip to the NY6 and immediately says "what are they doing there? They didn't play anybody."

It's maddening to me to dimiss them in this historic moment for their program.

Bama's win over Georgia will be considered of like a playoff game, and carries extra weight. SEC was always going to get in with 1 loss or less. They're probably just sad their won't be 2 SEC teams in.

Florida State gets the shaft despite the record because the committee won't be convinced they can compete with the other teams, particularly with the injury situation.

The playoff system is a joke because they want to use bowl type selecting process for a playoff field. So they should have just stuck with the bowls. Or have a real playoff and have the conference champions in the field, despite overall record. Trying to do both is not just messy, it's somewhat dishonest.

I really don't understand how anyone thought this wouldn't be the case. EVERY talking head was making their case for this going into the final week of regular season play and then magnified going forward.

Their rankings are set up for, potentially, an SEC matchup between Bama and the wHorns. I actually think THIS will be the two to play. I don't think the wHorns will have a problem with WA and Bama will outlast MI.

I'm just hoping and praying that Bama and SABAN take care of business with the $***bags from Austin. It won't be easy, but it's hard for me to see Saban losing twice. Lord, the damn Media will be euphoric for this matchup: the OH St-MI viewing audience won't hold a candle to it.

The fake playoff has the same problems as the Bowl system, and the BcS nonsense. Playoffs don't have committees or a selection process. They are based on teams winning their way in.

And this is what we got in exchange for trashing a couple dozen really good bowl matchups each year.

They have some nerve calling the invitationals the CFP (College Football Playoff).
